To setup automated anniversary messages (eg birthdays, wedding anniversary etc) to friends, family members etc, please follow these simple steps:
a) Login to Zimoby and go to the dashboard
b) Go to Manage Birthdays. If this is your first time, then you will need to setup at least one (1) Birthday Message
c) Click on Birthday Messages and then "New Message" to create a standard message. This message will be used to send out messages to intended recipients. You can setup as many birthday messages as you wish.
i) Enter the standard message (Maximum allowed characters is 100). You can use tags such as {firstname}, {lastname} and {GSM} to personalize the messages. When tag(s) are used, then the messages going out to single or multiple recipients are personalised.
ii) Select the time of the day you want the message to be sent out. We recommend anytime from 9am in the morning. Remember that a notification will be sent to the sender of the message one (1) hour before this selected time.
iii) Finally, click on save. This has successfully created a standard birthday/anniversay message which can be selected for use when setting up a user
d) Go back to dashboard and select "Add/Edit Birthdays" under "Manage Birthday"
i) Click on "Add Recipient". On the next page, enter First Name, Last Name, Nickname, GSM Number, Month and Day of anniversary
ii) Select an anniversary message to be used to send out message to this recipient (only one message can be selected at a time from the listed messages)
iii) Click Save. The message is now setup to be sent on the birthday or anniversay day of the recipient.
The Manage Birthday feature allows a registered member of ZimobySMS to send automated birthday and anniversary messages to both registered and unregistered members of ZimobySMS. Once a message has been set to be delivered at a pre-deterrmined date (the anniversary date), Zimoby takes care of the rest.
a) Zimoby sends an information to the sender of the message 1hour before the actual message goes out to the intended recipient. This intelligent feature alerts the sender to avoid a situation where a message is sent without the knowledge of the sender.
b) Zimoby sends the message to the recipient based on parameters set by the sender. Sender can configure what time of the day to send the birthday message as well as the content of the message.
Note: Zimoby Birthday feature is not limited to sending birthday messages only. It can also be used to send wedding anniversary messages,
Groups are a powerful feature of ZimobySMS that allows you to place GSM numbers of your contacts in manageable categories or groups. eg If you were a school proprietor, you could create groups for Parents, PTA, Teachers, Non-Staff, Alumi etc. For each of the groups created, you will then add the GSM numbers of the contacts you want to add to the group. Once groups are created and contacts added to them, it becomes easy to send messages selectively to groups or to even send messages with selected contacts within a group. ZimobSMS group features also allows you to call edit numbers within a group, add to or delete a contact from a group. These features are very unique to ZimobySMS.
Please note that you cannot add numbers (whether single or bulk) without specifying the group to import to.
To use the group features,
a) Go to Manage SMS in your dashboard
b) Click on Manage Groups
c) Select a group title and a group description and then click on Submit. This will create the group. You can create as manay group as possible.
To import numbers into your group,
a) Got to Manage SMS in your dashboard
b) Click on Import Data. You will be given the option to add a single data or to do a bulk import. Select your opton
c) To add single data, select the group from the list, enter the number (maximum of 11digits without leading zeros or 234-prefix. Then finally, click on "Save"
d) To add bulk data, this must have been saved on your computer as a text file or as a csv file. Not the location of the stored file.
e) Select the group from the list
f) Click the browse button to point to your saved file
g) Select the file format (text or .CSV)
h) Select if to allow duplicates or not. If set to Yes, system will allow you to import a number into the selected group even if the number already exists in another of your group. If set to no, duplicates will not be allowed for numbers existing in any of your groups
i) Finally click on Save
Note: You cannot import numbers unless you have created at least a group to use for the import:
This is the name or number which flashes on the recipient's mobile phone when they receive an SMS Text message. Sender ID allows you to send mesages to your clients and customers with your own brand name or company name. Most GSM Networks/Operators accept up to an 11-character Alpha-Numeric String as Sender Identification. Zimoby SMS allows you to create as many Sender IDs as possible with ability to select and switch the choice of Sender ID. Please read our policy of Sender ID before sending messages with this feature.
Yes. Bank payments is one way to fund the E-Wallet account at Zimoby. To make bank payments,
Go to the pricing page and note the available and active bank accounts
Visit the selected bank and make payment. Next
Go to the member dashboard (requires login)
Scroll and go to E-Wallet. Then click on "Add Funds"
Under Payment Information, Select "Bank Lodgment"
Under Banl Payment Information, complete as follows
Bank Information: Select from the list, the bank account where you have made payment
Amount: Enter the amount paid
Description: eg 3,000 sms credit or 100 Geo Numbers
Payment Type: There are 2 type, cash or cheque. Select the one that is appropriate based on the payment made by you
Cheque No: This field will be disabled unless you chose cheque in the previous field. For cheque payments, please allow 3-4 days for the cheque to clear
Deposit Slip Number: Enter the number of the deposit clip
Payment Date: Use the calendar to select the date the payment was made to the bank
Deposited By: Enter the name of the depositor. It may be member’s name or the name of the person sent to make the payment at the bank
Code: This security code is used to validate the transaction. Please enter the displayed code and finally, click
Submit. You will be taken to a confirmation page where you can either confirm or edit. Edit allows you to change data in the form again before re-submitting
Allow 1-3 days for Admin to confirm payment in the bank. Once this is done, your E-Wallet account will be funded with this payment. Please note that you will have to go to Online Store to place your order. Stating the purpose of the payment on the deposit teller does not automatically process an order.
Zimoby allows payments for goods and services through multiple means. These are:
a) Direct lodgment to the bank
b) Use of scratch cards
c) Interswitch ATM
Funds received through the above payment options are used to pay for goods and services in a 2-step process.
i) All payments are first lodged in an E-Wallet account managed online
ii) Funds in E-Wallet account is then used to pay for goods and services at the time of purchase
To make a purchase, login with your username and password or register if not already a member. Once logged in, you will be taken to the member's dashboard.
Scroll down to the Online Store section of the dashboard
Select from the listed products and services eg SMS Credit, Banner Ads, Geo and non-Geo Numbers.
Depending on the selected product or service, you will get the option to specify the units (quantity) and the payment option to be used for the purchase.
For E-Wallet payment option, system will check your order against the balance in your E-Wallet account. If the balance in the E-Wallet account is sufficient to cover the order, the transaction will be authorized. If however the balance in the E-Wallet account is insufficient, your order will be declined and you will be requested to fund the E-Wallet account. You may fund the E-Wallet account either by purchasing Zimoby scratch cards from an authorized outlet or paying to the bank and submitting payment teller details online.
For Interswitch payment option, you will see the interswitch logo and once your order is submitted, you will be directed to the secured interswitch payment site called Web Pay. There you will choose amongst the listed cards and then submit your card details. System will process your request and redirect you back to Zimoby where the result of the transaction with Interswitch is displayed. Please note that all Interswitch transactions are also reported in the E-Wallet account for good audit trail
Unfortunately, we cannot exclude your registered numbers from the list of numbers sold to other members on the platform. Our business model is different from those of competitors. The only we could guarantee been the lowest cost provider in the industry is to generate income from other sources such as sale of members' GSM numbers and income from adverts. As long as you remain a registered member at Zimoby, your number will be available to be sold to other members. However we have promised that no member will ever know the number(s) they are buying. We protect your identity. That is our guarantee !!!
Whenever you sign on as a member at Zimoby, the first GSM number used for registration will be activated and registered in the system. This is the number that Zimoby intelligent messaging server randomly selects from th database and sells this to other members who want to target members whose details match certain criteria. Zimoby rewards owners of numbers sold on the platform but shares this revenue in the ratio a:b with the owner of the number. To increase your revenue, register as many GSM numbers as possible. Each registered number will need to be individually activated.
Zimoby has two reseller programs. These include resellers of scratch cards used for recharging members' e-Wallet account as well as resellers of bulk SMS service. Both offer very attractive reseller commissions. Please call for more details.
Firstly, referral credit points are not exactly SMS credits. As a result, they cannot be used to directly send messages. However, earning referral credit points helps you purchase SMS credit at the lowest price ever at Zimoby. The referral credit point system rewards members with a huge price discount for purchasing SMS credit. This is how it works:
a) For every member invited and who has registered and activated his/her account at Zimoby, you arn 10 referral credit points
b) Acccumulate up to a minimum of 1,000 referral credit and request to have this "converted to SMS". At this point, the system will allow you to purchase 1,000 SMS converted from referral credit at the highly discounted price offered by Zimoby. This is a great way to allow members purchase SMS credit at prices even cheaper than resellers without being a reseller. As long as you continue to accumulated referral credits and convert this in multiples of 1,000 referral credits to SMS credits, you will be able to continue purchasing sms credits at the specially discounted price.
Note: There is no limit to number of referral credits that can be earned, as long as you keep inviting friends to join the network.
Certainly. They are as valid as any other SMS credit purchased on the platform and you can start sending messages immediately with them. We advice you recharge your account to avoid being stranded after you use up the FREE SMS credit.
One of the several ways that Zimoby rewards members is by offering a commission on members' GSM numbers which are sold by the Zimoby intelligent messaging server as Geo Numbers to other members and advertisers. When a member chooses to purchase a Geo Number, he is basically buying one of the numbers used for registration by other members. These numbers are prime and because they are tied to real people with set preferences, they can be targeted by advertisers (members) for purchase. As part of our commitment to privacy, although these numbers are sold, they are NEVER revealed to the member purchasing them. To reward the owners of the numbers, Zimoby offers them a commission each time their number(s) is/are sold by the server. The more the number is sold, the more commission members earn.
There are a few reasons why this may happen:
a) Ensure the email address is valid and that the invited friend has access to and is currently using the email address. In essence, the invitation must be deliverable to an existing and active email address otherwise it will never be seen.
b) Invitation mails sent by Zimoby may be automatically filed in the spam or bulk folder of the friend you are inviting. A lot of free based email such as yahoo, gmail, hotmail by default tend to send new mails to spam or bulk folders. One way to be sure this is not happening is to ask your friend to confirm they have received the invitation mail and they will need to check both their inbox as well as their spam/bulk folders.
c) An invited friend MUST click on the link in the invitation email sent to them. Contained in that link is a code that identifies the member who has invited the friend. If an invited friend merely goes to www.zimoby.com and registers, he/she will not be identified with your invitation and no referral credit will be awarded by the platform. Please ensure that your friends click the link to Zimoby in the invitation email
d) Registration at Zimoby is considered complete only after the registering member has activated his account. At registration, Zimoby sends out an 8-digit activation code to the GSM number used for registration. This code must be used to complete the registration at Zimoby.com. If an invited friend has commenced a registration but has not activated his/her registration by submitting this 8-digit code, they are considered unregistered and no referral credit will be awarded by the platform to the referring member.
YES. Referral credit points are credited to your account immediately after the referred member registers at Zimoby.com and not at the point of purchase of SMS credit.
Zimoby.com offers far more customer experience than any bulksms provider. But the greatest value it brings to the customer is in its innovative reward system. Zimoby rewards customers in four unique ways:
a) Free Credit at Registration: Zimoby welcomes every newly registered member with FREE SMS at the time of registration. The number of FREE SMS is determined by Zimoby and can be changed with or without notice. As at 1st July, 2010, new members get 3 FREE SMS at registration
b) 30-day Discount Window: Zimoby offers a discounted price to members who within the first 30-days of registration and at any time during the period make a one-time purchase of a set minimum SMS credit. For member to qualify, the first purchase immediately after registration must be more than the set minimum SMS credit. The price offered under this reward is the lowest you can find on Zimoby platform and as such only limited to the 30-days immediately following the date of registration. You can purchase any number of times within the 30-days to enjoy this special price but the quantity in any single purchase must not be less than the set minimum SMS credit and the first purchase immediately after registration must not be less than the set minimum SMS credit, otherwise the offer lapses. As at 1st July, 2010 the minimum credit to purchase is 5,000credits and the discounted price of N1.80
c) Referral Credit: Zimoby operates a generously rewarding referral/affiliate program that uses a credit point system. When you refer a member who goes on to register at Zimoby.com, you are awarded a certain number of referral credit points. The more friends you refer, the more referral credit points you accumulate. When the accumulated referral credit points attains a set value, members are able to convert this to SMS Credits (1 referral credit point=1 SMS Credit) using the discounted price offered to new members who make bulk purchase above. For example, if the discounted price offered to new members in b) above is say N1.80, and the accumulated referral point is say 1,050 points, member can choose to convert referral credit to SMS credit. Since referral credits are converted in multiples of 1,000 points, only 1,000 out of the 1,050 accumulated referral credit points will be converted. As 1 referral credit point is equal to 1SMS credit, it means system will convert the 1,000 referral credit to SMS credit at the discounted price of N1.80. As you may have figured out, Zimoby is not giving members free SMS credit from accumulated referral credits, rather the member gets an opportunity to buy SMS credits at the low price of N1.80 in this example. There is no limitations on how long member can enjoy this low price, as long as member keeps referring friends and accumulating referral credit points.
d) Reseller Price: A minimum limit of purchase has been set for qualifying resellers. As long as a reseller buys above this set minimum purchase limit, the discounted price offered to resellers will be applied by the system. As at 1st July, the minimum quantity of SMS credit to purchase by resellers is 10,000 units. All other conditions for reseller program apply.
A referral credit is the point earned every time a registered member introduces a friend to Zimoby. Three (3) members must be invited at a time and invited members must have a valid email address but must not be already registered with Zimoby.
For every invited friend who goes on to register at Zimoby, the referring member (ie the member who has referred the friend) will earn 10 referral credit points. Member can continue to accumulate referral credit points by inviting as many friends as possible to Zimoby.
